the sun just keeps returning..

i do love the rain though.  mostly because often it brings us rainbows.  it also waters the plants.
have spent my morning doing not too much.  having fun making a few conservatives lose their shit.  cracks me up as they are so reactionary. they want to tell everyone what morals and values to have, force their morals and values on others and then scream if they feel any of their rights are infringed upon..you know by being asked to wear a mask...then after months of them being big babies about that being told to wear a mask.
it's like many things.  at first it was suggested, then as the number getting ill and dying increased many communities have demanded masks...so now their freedoms are at stake.  that is the big line in the sand, a mask. they adapted to seat belts but a mask is just too far.
selfie with a rainbow. it was so big i wasn't able to get it all in one shot.
yesterday i did a loop in Kincaid Park.  the Little Campbell Lake loop.  saw a moose as i drove in but otherwise i saw no moose or bears, which was fine.
there are some mushrooms popping up. one section tends to get a lot of mushrooms. the numbers will no doubt increase as August comes along.
i head back to work tonight for 3.
actually went to a few car dealerships to lay eyes on cars/trucks and prices.  yikes!
will probably be hunting for a low mileage truck in the end.  there was  a Ford 150 xlt i think it was, 2019 with around 5000 miles. that would be the dream. they do come up on occasion so i will just be patient.  do not feel i'm ready to pull the trigger yet. it was a bright red which i prefer the pretty blue they have.  not that i would totally discount a vehicle due to color but i wanted to convince myself to not go for it quite yet.
i really should/need to do some planning before i jump in.  it's a big expense.
some folks just won't give up.
i love a big beautiful rainbow!!  make it a double
anyway, i hit two dealerships. i do like the ford.  no test drives yet.  more research needed.
i also looked at a mini cargo which i could outfit how i want.  it doesn't look comfortable...i think i am ready for more comfort.  you drive for hours out there.  who cares, at this age, if you have a bed in the back if the seat you drove in made you ache all over.
it's cheaper, which is nice, but you would have to add the windows in, i would want the windows.
the sky the other way from the rainbow was pretty nice,  bright.
i really need to get the day started.  moving a bit slow right now. thought i'd toss in a few photos of the week.
we do chill here, play time with the pets.  it's pretty simple life really.
suv's are good as well, especially those that the seats all fold down or come out in the back.  much more comfort but do i want to continue to make due sleeping in the back or do i want to work towards a camper situation.
an suv would be more comfortable, lower gas mileage....but can't tow much and they are limited in space for camping inside.
towing...well, i'm not sure i'd be keen on towing a trailer. i like to stop a lot when i drive. "oh look at those pretty flowers".  you can't just slam on the brakes with a trailer. not easy with a camper either but much more feasible.
i drove a truck before and it was fine.  i'd just want a quad cab so the dogs could be more comfy in the back row.  the size truck you need will be poor gas mileage though.  so much to consider so i don't want to make any hasty decision. plus the dogs will have difficulty getting up inside the truck potentially as they get older.
Covi Cat is getting so big. he just keeps getting taller and longer.
am i ready for another week. i guess. what will happen in the next year or two.  do i want to make a big purchase in this economy?  those are other things to factor in.
it's so great to not have a car payment.  the element is getting old.  how long does it have left? no point selling it at this point really.  figure no matter what i get i can tool around to the trailheads with the old element, keeping the newer vehicle cleaner and also the trailheads are great places to smashing windows and destroying property.  nobody bothers the element.
kitty loves the feather toys.  i remember my grandpa used to call all the kitties he ran across Puddy cats.
he didn't have any pets when i was around him but he always seemed a friend to animals that he ran across.
want to go see what remnants are out there for the bathroom counters so that is on the list for today i think.

 odd angles of the kitten
he's 9 months now going on 10 months.  time flies
some sort of kids camp happening at the lake.
our covid cases have remained higher than i like....but we have a segment of the population that screams daily that it's a hoax and overly hyped and no big deal....
my sister is sad that she can't hug her grandkids. i get that.  more sad is that if she lived in Canada or many other nations she would be hugging them.  the non-compliance here is ridiculous.  we could have gotten this under control ages ago but we have an attitude of me first, you not at all.  not my problem and add to that very little respect for elders so if elders are dying in large numbers so what.  "it's only old people dying" or it's "only people in nursing homes dying" is a standard response.
years of having no respect for elders have come to this.
 so handsome
i was hiding it in the flowers.
blue wood. i left the wood by normal wood where the kids play for day care..wonder if any of their leaders knew what caused that blue wood.  figured it would be something the kids would ask about. perhaps one of the kids knew why it was blue.

we had a low mushroom year last year so i'm excited that this year should be better.
 we've also had a healthy mosquito year...boo.
 sibling love
and i better be off to shower, walk dogs, look at remnants and eat something.  i'll leave the facebook battle of the tools to later.
grateful for A.  sleep and a comfortable bed.  B.  blue skies and puffy clouds. C. warm fuzzy slippers
