another month another litter of kittens...

 

i know, i was not going to take another litter until late fall. my little trips are over for the moment, and the shelter assures me if i have any little trips they can board them there.  this group is now 2 day old kittens. grey and white, black and white polydactyly's. i picked them up yesterday. Mom already has a cold bug. she is pretty congested and not eating. today i did a steam with her and tried various foods. this evening i syringe fed her some water. 

this mom is super sweet and snuggly. i'm calling her Biscuits since she is always kneading and has extra toes.the babies are tiny! they seem to feed forever so i started giving them some bottle time. want them a nice healthy place before this cold bug hits them. i hope it skips them though, wouldn't that be nice. 

that last litter came later, and the mom was pretty poorly, but they had never had a bottle, so it does seem easier to get them used to a bottle. helps with transition to solids too.

just returned from a few nights in Valdez. they had contacted me about a different litter but i told them i was headed out of town but would take litter in fall. i was missing kittens. with my anxiety and all, the kittens have helped me schedule my day and focus my energy and anxiety into something more tangible and positive. it's stressful. i worry and fret over these little critters but it's a positive worry if that makes sense.  one i have more control over i guess.

things in our country just keep deteriorating it seems. bounty hunters have been commissioned to grab as many undocumented people as they can. the bond is $1000-1500 per person. they are masked and have no warrants, drive unmarked cars, basically they are kidnapping kind, hardworking individuals. its state sponsored human trafficking, i fear. they are building camps to hold people in. none of this is good. people are disappearing. 

they are not targeting the "criminals" at all. they are going to courts, where folks are going through process the correct way. they picked up hundreds of undocumented children from foster homes and put them in general camps. they have shown up at events like graduations, jobs, Home Depot. the communities are fighting back. glitter, getting cars towed, just standing up to them and turning them back once they are found to not have any warrants or will not identify themselves. the people who voted for this...i really just have zero tolerance at this point. many voted for these horrible people 3x. it's not just trump it's the cruel, racist, greedy people all around him. Miller is the worst in many ways. these immigration policies come from him, and he's been with trump since the beginning. i tried to warn those who were supporting this bull but i was literally told i had trump derangement syndrome and treated like i was hysterical. 

for years and many lost lives, we were told that we needed all these guns to prevent a corrupt government take over.  well, here we are and we are using glitter and scissors to cut off the nozzles on tires. all those lives lost over the decades in the name of being able to take on a corrupt government seem even more pointless. that was their argument though. 

my mark is all over the place. clearly, i am 100% against this. i couldn't hide if i wanted to. they can easily get our information and use it against us. 

these crazy hard right Christians believe Jesus is coming.  the sick thing is that these fools believe Jesus will find them to be great people worthy of a place in heaven while all those who are not Maga fools will be going to hell. i do not believe Jesus is coming and if he did, the guy i read about in the bible, i'm pretty sure these arses aren't headed where they think they are.  they are rounding up other Christians mostly, who just have different skin color than them, but they are not racist.  news flash, you are racist. you voted with the KKK, the nazi's, the white supremacists.

will these people who still stand with the taco ever wake up to what they have allowed to happen in their name? doubtful. many live in a little bubble. they want to do away with any healthcare.  they do not want any money to go to regular people.  they want to tax us and then split the money amongst the ultra-wealthy. they want the money that goes back to those who paid in to social security. they want to take away Medicaid and Medicare. in Mcconnel's word, they will have to get over it.  a bunch of folks in wheelchairs protested at the capital, i think. they zip tied them and arrested them. 

they certainly want to make sure the midterms do not happen. while i was in Valdez the idiot dropped bombs in Iran.  he didn't get permission from congress. constitution? what constitution? these folks only care about the constitution when it impacts their right to own guns i guess. Iran has let us know that they already have sleeper cells in place ready to commence terrorist attacks...so i got a litter of kittens.

overall, i feel like i'm more myself. it was a mini meltdown, brought on by covid and the clarity that came with covid.  who was willing and desirous to actually be a real part of your life. who was rude as hell and needed to be moved away from. i'm backing further and further from any trump supporters. certainly, those who are crazy maga hat wearing types. it's a cult. they wonder why we don't worship biden or take their cuts at him personally. we elected him we never worshipped him. 

a crazy maga dressed like a cop and killed a Minnesota representative and her husband and dog, also injured another and their partner.  those hateful maga people basically have cheered. they have become intolerable humans.  Biden has cancer that has spread, they had nothing but cruel things to say.  even old Republicans that they no doubt voted for are trashed if they do not act loyal enough for the toddler ruining our nation. it's about more than a vote at this point. it's a matter of ethics and kindness and morality. they can scream Jesus all they want.  their actions and words and tweets show they truth. 

they can also scream patriotism but patriots would not allow such desecration of the constitution.  there was a huge protest on the day the taco had his Birthday military parade.  the no kings protests had between 4-6 million.  the parade that wasted millions had like 10,000. i was between shifts that day. many i knew did attend.  thank you all .

Valdez was a long drive but we stopped a lot and it was a chill visit.  lots of short walks, chilling and napping. tons of no see ums.  i've got the bites to prove it. 

i haven't really planned much. figure some day trips. hopefully, find a good low wind day to go whale watching. the kittens could be a bit of a bother but they really have been great for my brain. with all the chaos out there and the bad news, i can go in that room with the kittens and just escape. 

animals have saved me. the dog that was murdered alongside the democratic representative will lie in state with the owners at the state capital. Gilbert, a golden retriever. horrible maga. 

all it takes in any society is convincing people that they can do terrible things to this person or that person because "those people" are bad people, evil and when you live by vertical morals you can justify everything. this has happened in genocides for generations. 

trump probably took direction from Israels horrific leader on these bombings. they are trying to act like Iran was super close to nuclear bombs.  we are the only nation that has dropped a nuke. in the end, like Iraq, lies. also lies that this bombing "obliterated" their capabilities.

for generations, Israel has had sympathy from most of the world because of the holocaust.  it's only taken one terrible leader and their own genocide in Gaza to obliterate that sympathy. with the bombing there just wasn't much support.  the idiot taco seems to believe that he can direct every nation on the planet. 

it's taco now because i guess that was becoming his nick name on Wallstreet because he keeps threatening tariffs all over the place then backing off. "trump always chickens out".  great memes and songs. 

guess i needed a rant session. 

i do not support this idiot and his band of fools.  if you are maga you are in the wrong space. i believe immigrants of all sorts, documented or undocumented are a benefit to this nation.  i welcome them. i support the LGBTIQQ communities right to not just exist but to thrive and pursuit happiness. i strive to counter racism in myself and in this nation. i believe in a women's right to choose. i believe in universal healthcare and free education or heavilly supported education. our population, all populations do better when they are healthy, educated and secure. 

i have no interest in playing nice or having conversations that make people who believe in this bull comfortable. 

we spent far too long being careful with our words, not speaking of things that would make others feel uncomfortable.  we avoided things like politics and religion and money, and this has only increased the divides between us. everyone found their own news sources that made them feel comfortable and this just lead to misinformation and disinformation.

i have been getting out. not the big hikes or big adventures i've had in the past.  still fun. you adapt as you get older. i've done different things all through my life. outdoors/pets those things always stay. how i experience it changes though. as you get older you aren't invited as often. i do a lot alone but i do have some core friends to hang out with.  i'm grateful for that. 

loved this star below. so often,they send messages to me by how they are positioned. this one exudes power and bravado. we are down, we are fighting thought.  we won't give up or go down without a fight. i have to believe that the right side will win eventually.  sadly, many lives are already being harmed. so much is already lost. the destruction has been rapid these last few months since the thugs took office. have to have faith in good. 

i tell myself that in the end the ship will right itself and this last hurrah by those who live in a past world will be squelched.  maybe Christianity is failing or just changing. 

there have been many different god/religions worshipped and the ones before evolved into the ones now and the ones now will eventually evolve into new beliefs. these Christian churches have gotten more and more corrupt and greedy. guess my old Mormon church just lost a case because they have covered up sexual abuse for decades. who's surprised? not me. 

apparently, their insurance companies did not want to pay out, the church sued them and lost.

well, i'll go check the kittens and mom one more time.  then off to bed

stay strong, fight and if that doesn't work foster kittens.

grateful for: a. the people in my life that see me and know me and still like me, flaws and all b. the animals and nature that always bring me peace. c. outlets for my stress.
