haven't written for a few days now. all is well. i'm on my work stretch. just one more night to go.

last week....hmm. i know i worked peds two nights, they have been busy with all the respiratory stuff and then i worked ER...which really was MRI. i spent 5 hours + in the MRI between two cases. that can be tedious. it was mostly annoying because the docs kept changing their minds on which exams they really wanted and in the second case they added another exam after we'd already pulled the patient off the MRI table.

MRI is just a hassle. no metal on the patient or the staff. special iv machines, special stretchers so it's multiple transfers of patients. i delivered that second patient to ICU at 7:15 in the morning, gave report and headed home.

these last two nights i have been in the hold area for ER. i seem to have a sunny cloud over me, as usual, and the bulk of the patients got rooms upstairs...that ultimately allowed me to go home a few hours early both nights. great for dog walking and today i thought i'd toss in a quick blog post.

we've had snow this week. Monday night was really windy and then we got a load of heavy, wet snow. the wind was pretty powerful at times. tough to sleep. the house was rattling. i think sleep was poor across town.

i finally took a half dose of nyquil and put on classical music....always relaxing. i drifted off to sleep.

mostly a dog park week. the dogs are always fine with that. not sure where we will hit today. maybe just a different loop in the dog park. change it up.

a bunch of thugs broke into a home Sunday night. they ended up shooting the guy, according to reports. he didn't look familiar but several nurses seem to know him as a fellow nurse. thankfully, though he is injured, he will recover it sounds like. also thankfully, his wife and child weren't shot, though i'm sure they were terrified.

this group is still at large which is a bit scary. that was the same night as the wind.

we can freak our brains out with scary news events like this. there are just too many guns out there. silly me put some bear bells on my front door as an early warning device....of course, even if you have early warning, there isn't much one can really do in the event a group of 5 armed people enter your home.

i suspect the dogs help prevent intruders and also this is a packed neighborhood....there are advantages to a neighborhood like this. a lot of extra eyes out there.

the snow that has fallen has been very heavy spring snow. no snowmen made yet. oh well. my shoveling requirement was decreased by a kind neighbor who must have used a truck plow to clear my driveway.....two days in a row. thank you!!!

i wonder if it's the little free library? are they fans of reading. the library gets used all year. it really has been fun to watch it become a neighborhood staple. people really do seem to enjoy it.

probably another benefit to a tightly packed neighborhood....the little free library gets a lot of action.

the books l've read are piling up by the skelly's as the library hasn't needed any help staying filled.

the primaries continue. i do tire of it. the debates that i saw reminded me of too many nursing staff meetings. everyone bitching at each other. Bloomburg....he can't seem to decide what party he belongs to and has changed over the years when it was to his advantage. Bernie....a bit to far left at times. Warren...trying to hard to be cool. Biden...trying too hard to be bad ass. Pete....not a lot of experience. Klobachar...seems fairly reasonable at times... i think for me some of it depends on who they select to run with them.

any of them are better than the current fool though.

he fills positions by watching fox news. experience doesn't matter, only loyalty matters.

he continues on his pardon party. the worst of the worst. showing that if you are corrupt in government he will save you.

what to do this summer....i need to get making some fun plans.

Barr is taking a bit of heat, feigning outrage over the fools tweets...which really just expose what Barr really is. trumps personal lawyer. he's doing the fools bidding but is seeming a bit frustrated the fool is outing him at being such a partisan hack.

i do feel that since the Dems did all they could to shine the light on the bull going on and the GOP made a mockery of it all...it is all on the GOP at this point. everything this fool does is in the GOP and those who support this fool. if they vote for him again then they are even more to account. they had options but they choose party over country.

it has released some of the stress i feel. it's disgusting to see such a an idiot in the lead position of our nation and doing damage that may never be undone.

preparations are under way for the start of the Iditarod. it's a pretty major under taking. food bags and supplies shuttled out to various check points.

the dogs are getting restless for their walk. i knew blogging in the middle of the day would not please them . :-)

corona virus also continues to be the big news...of course, the right has spun conspiracy theories...they have a conspiracy theory for everything...and their followers eat up each and every conspiracy theory. why bother with facts when you can spin a crazy tale so convoluted it becomes impossible to unspin.

that the right can cheer one such as Limbaugh getting an honor should be enough for them to ask themselves what is really going on. he is scum as far as i can tell. he pushes conspiracy crap and is an ass to anyone who thinks differently than him. rude, crude. he's been emboldened as well by this award.

the only way the right would falter is if fox news came out and admitted that they have been pushing absolute crap for decades. i don't see the Ingrams or Hannity sorts doing that. they are lost and so are their followers. they see themselves as the victims, no matter what facts prove otherwise.

one of Trumps Challengers dropped out a few weeks back, Joe Walsh. he wrote a commentary piece after being around trump supporters trying to run. in it he said it is trumps party and it's become a cult. his followers have bought in to all the lies. they believe it all. they don't care what he does, in their eyes he's on their side so what he says, what he does, it's all fine because he's on their side. they believe he never lies, they believe even that he never golfs, they believe the wall is being built and paid for by Mexico, they believe China is paying for the tariffs. they believe it was a perfect call. he got zero support from the right wing media thugs....

Q anon crazed cult followers. the belief that "trump is waging a secret campaign against enimies in the deep state and a child sex trafficking ring run by satanic pedophiles and cannibals". yes these are the trump supporters and if you support trump these are your fellow trump fans. baseless twaddle.

4chan and 8 chan are crazy fringe sites. these sites are where many of these crazy conspiracy theories are born. then they are passed along to social media and shared and morphed into a twisted reality. such dandies as...JFK Jr was actually a trump supporter who faked his plane accident death in '99, that's not nuts? another that obama, hillary and other Dems will be rounded up and sent to Gitmo in a big event "the storm". the banter blends religious apocalypse with politics. the nuts eat it up...it gets morphed and then next thing you know regular, seemingly sane people are eating up the conspiracy crap.

at some point the sane and rational among the GOP will no longer be able to distinguish themselves from the insane nut jobs passing off the most bizarre and crazed conspiracy theories. they are all one. the more rational have been made to feel they are totally rational. by the time the conspiracy theories get to their fox news and other right media sites they are watered down and twisted up and made to be more believable.

even corona has conspiracies now...it's being manufactured in some labs. sent out to infect the citizens of the world i guess. a family member asked me a question that clearly was about some crazy conspiracy theory that is being pushed. it really saddens me to see once rational people falling for utter bull.

i keep hoping to wake up from this nightmare...to have these people wake up to what their party has become. after many exchanges i feel it will never happen though.
