should be bedding not blogging....

but here i am.  i should also be sanding more of the stair rail and cleaning up more of the office. rock left at Matanuska Glacier. today i left one at the Independence Mine.
never learn who picks them up but it's good to just do this and put happy out there and have no expectations of any return. the world needs more happy.
i have always loved the saying practice random acts of kindness and senseless beauty.
i do love re-organizing though. it all looks so pretty now...the parts i've done. much of what is left in the office is the reams of paper that collects in most households i'd guess. hoping soon i can get rid of the cardboard table.
projects do force clean out of crap.  i have a lot of crap to clear out. do not want to be confused for a hoarder...seems like if the stuff is neater and more organized you are less likely to be compared to a hoarder.
spent my second week or work in the ER.  i never morphed into a holds nurse this stretch and even was able to leave early twice....which i love.  i mean i think one day early was about 0630, but i will take anything.
yesterday i just made it to the dog park.  ran into an old friend from our trek out to Shuyak Island.  we made friends with the rangers out there and i see this one from time to time at the dog park. so we walked and talked a bit.
today i made my way out to Hatchers Pass.
i took the dogs to Gold Mint trail.  will have to return and do a few more hikes out there. so many great ones.  Gold cord, April something, Arc Angel.
the sun started to make it's appearance and no rain drops fell.
traffic was at a stand still for road construction on the way back.  my friend texted me and said she and her husband had just passed me, they tried to wave but i was in the zone.  probably singing away in the car.
i also ran into a few co-workers on the trail.
forecast this week is rain most places so i figured it was a good week to do some local walks and get some crap done
whether i will actually get some crap done is another story altogether.
was trying to recall where i saw these....it was at those shops in Sterling or by Sterling owned by the couple.  he sells rocks and bones and antlers and such, her shop is art and collectibles.
this bridge goes nowhere and attaches to nothing.  it's sitting on the side of a road around Chickaloon.  cool bridge though.
my attempt to get the little free library a little dressed up.
nature does a lot of dressing up this time of year. different flowers appear in different places, much like the mushrooms are starting to.
i just love the drama of this land.  how rapidly things are constantly changing.
so work was busy but not horrible or emotionally draining. it was really busy...the rooms were filling as fast as they were emptying.  i'm hearing there are issues at the other hospitals with staffing. we get to pick up the slack i guess.
will have to make our way back to the glacier at some point this summer.
always so much you want to do and never enough time to do it all.
will watch some brainless re-runs and fall asleep.
another rock left in Homer.  i'll need to do some more painting soon.  :-)  more walrus, more kayakers, more flowers
love when he sleeps on the big stuffed toys...he's just always so adorable.
he's in the habit of eating with the dogs and with Miss Breezy.  i encourage over eating in him...in hopes he will be too fat and too lazy to leap over the fence anymore.  so far it's not working.
i think above is some sort of saxifrage? flower.  they were in front of the glacier.  always interesting to watch the plants start to grow where once just dust and mud existed. one wonders if seeds from the time the glaciers formed will re-establish plants that existed ages ago but were frozen deep in a glacier .  frozen seeds...could happen.
on the spit.
always love running across old cars.
and wildflowers of course too.
better head to bed.  just a quickie again.  don't want to get even more behind than i already am.  we are doing well here.  hope you are doing well where ever you are!
thankful for: A. the drama of this land B.  the wildflowers C.  the wonders that leave me in awe no matter how often i see them.
