the rainy lazy day!!

 worked ER last night and ended up not being needed after 4:30 or so...I'm always willing to book out early. usually that then leads to a good walk today.  i did sleep fairly well, though i have some odd recollection of a weird dream where i somehow chewed the inside of my cheek for reals..so that's been sore today.

 these are still a mixture of big camera and iphone over the last week.  hoping to head out again on some day trips enjoying the fall colors where i can

 chatted with my brother in Boston and my Niece in Texas and we all like the idea of a fall visit back east next year. i have always wanted to enjoy the fall colors and make the drive to Maine and back to Boston to enjoy all we can. so we are all in and open to other family who want to do this trek with us. my sister had expressed interest.  above was the view in the morning i think from our cabin on the Denali Highway.

 my friend has arrived back in CA and is now on the Mexico part of her journey with another friend Gnat.  she headed down to Valdez while i worked last week.  the colors sounded like they were great.  she enjoyed a quiet night Saturday night here and then drove to Seward to pick up childhood friends who had been on a cruise.  we all met up in Anchorage at Orso for a fun night of laughing, chatting, and consuming. 

 i have some continued concerns that i am terrible at all social situations so it is always nice to feel confident on a social outing.  they were wonderful and we all laughed loads.  i was very spoiled all week...nobody would allow me to pay for meals!!  thanks for keeping me fed...it was a true delight!

 it does make me want to expand my social outings as i am terrible at getting myself activated.  it's really just too easy for me to be the hermit. 

 the fungi have had a few showings with the rain of late. 

 the dogs would have been thrilled to walk today.  it was raining pretty good. i actually love a walk in the rain, but i am also sucked into a really good book.  "Eleanor Oliphant is doing fine"...well close to that i think anyway.  i love a good read.  it is similar to the "story of ove" which i loved as well.  just an awkward character trying to find their way in this world full of people who seem to move about it so easily...of course, Ove was more cranky in his interactions. 

 the ER was actually quite busy.  pt's that were super ill last week, one has passed and the other was made comfort care.  some days we do all we can but the body is overwhelmed by what ails them.  we can only do so much. 

 the iitoo is going after flavored vaping.  it's not that I'm opposed to this really...i mean that is generally how society should function.  something proves to be a danger to society, society gets outraged and laws and regulations are created to curtail the dangerous activity.  of course, when it comes to guns, a certain part of society appears to be blind to this...a few die of vaping incidences and they are up in arms and ready to write laws and regulations...thousands die from gun related incidences and they scream about their rights. it just seems they have lost all common sense.

 they are the ruling party..at this point seemingly the only party in our nation.  they have pretty much taken over...it's pretty much a coup really.  they now have full control of the justice system it seems.  we are pretty doomed i feel at this point.  they have done nothing to protect elections as they know what is being done to our elections benefits them and they are so wicked for power and greed that they are willing to work with other governments and seedy entities in order to have full power...so sure they are that their agenda is the only right agenda, the agenda that is favored by God.

 the dems seem pretty spineless...working diligently to follow the rules against those who have decided the rules do not apply to them in the least.  the GOP have broken all the rules and norms and are blatant about it at this point.  they could care less about ethics and values or norms or laws or honesty...all they care about is getting their way and having unilateral power.  we are an oligarch..but their followers have not figured out that the federal government that they feared would take their precious guns have taken over the nation.  when they finally figure it out it will be far too late...the only power we had was in our vote and they voted to give our democracy away to the greedy and power hungry.

 their piddly guns will be powerless against the military they insisted our large government have...it's all so ripe with foolishness, but that is the rabbit hole we have been taken down.  they sit foolishly by cheering at every step as the federal government takes control of all. 

 states rights, ha!!  those are becoming more meaningless despite the right screaming states rights while they cede to the feds...fools...really, all of them.  they will cheer all the way to our nation being completely destroyed...and still not wake up to what they've done...still blame everyone else for their naivete. 

 the Saudi's were the individuals who flew into the towers and the pentagon.  they are the ones who brutally hacked up and murdered Kashoggi, but now they are itching, and have been itching to get into yet another war, this time with Iran.  we still have not been able to extricate ourselves from Afghanistan or Iraq, but they want to risk our citizens rights to protect the Saudi's...the Saudi's will be happy to watch Americans die so their own citizens do not have to. this iitoo has made it so that if we do go after Iran, our allies will not be willing to join...there was a process in place that this iitoo and this administration decided to walk away from...they are responsible for this mess, though they will never accept responsibility for anything, ever.

 Netanyahu may lose his bid, but he has already stated that he won't accept the results.  i fear the same will happen if the iitoo happens to lose his bid in 2020...his followers will revolt, they will cry foul, they will scream fake news...their refrain for anything that does not please them or fit with their views of how things are.  they will take up their arms and claim that the elections were not fair, that they were rigged, because their master in foolishness will scream and tweet this falsely. 

 they refuse to see facts as facts...they refuse to read the report...Mueller's biggest concern was the interference into our election...nothing has been done to prevent this from happening again. 

 they refuse to heed science and the facts about the earth...calling it all a hoax and fake news and conspiracy this and conspiracy that...because blindly following unproven conspiracies is so much easier than seeking out the truth.  blindly following anything is a bad idea, but are they programmed to this?  having faith in a religion is fine, but one should never give that same faith in a government.  no government is worthy of faith.  i would say one should have a personal faith in a God but religions are made by man and should also be treated with some level of scrutiny...so many have followed the paths of the faithless.

 when i was a kid these evangelicals had tv shows, but they were a rarity...now it's the norm.  poor people giving their last cent over to false prophets who live in luxury.  they do not see the blasphemy of the dollars influence on religion.  most of their large churches are nothing more than corporations...tax free corporations.  greed and corruption go hand in hand when the dollars pour in.  humans just can't help themselves it seems.

 i keep thinking the way this ends with trump best would be an internal combustion...the dems are weak so we seem dependent on someone from the GOP side finally getting the guts to put an end to this...one of them may get pissed enough to strike out...will it be an internal coup, one that ends in death?  not sure how this fool gets such loyalty from his followers and those around him...certainly this weak and frail man does not deserve it...he certainly hasn't earned it. 

 his followers won't accept impeachment even if the dems had the guts to really make it happen...believe me, if the tables were turned and this guy was a Dem, he would have been out already.  the GOP would never have tolerated all these shenanigans.

 so twice I've seen guys wearing these tails at the dog park....is this the new normal?

 kavenaugh, like his bench mate will never be held accountable for lying under oath, for their sexually deviant behavior, in his case for his wanton drinking.  he was pushed through without a real investigation.  none of this is right....our courts are being filled with right wing nuts...this will damage our ability to function in truth and justice for decades.

 what a shock...yet another cabinet member being investigated for ethics violations...the systematic leaching of the US tax payers funds.

 to the applause and admiration of the sheep on the right.

 have had some good puppy/kitten snuggle time at this end.  always hard to get motivated to get out of bed when i have all the furs on me

 noise in the inlet by oil industry is about to get louder...lawsuits have been filed...lets just hope it can put off this administration in it's quest to destroy and take all they can.  the beluga's are already in danger, the noise may take them out completely.  what do the folks on the right care....

 Monday walks began this week.  we had a nice crew out there...

 i should probably start wrapping this up....two nights of work to go. 

 i added a third Skelly...Skellina.  he needed a partner in crime.  besides i found these cute cheap dresses that seemed to scream to be on the deck.

 Skellina has a bum arm...but since i figure she will be tossed into a land fill, we shall accept her with her bum arm and save her from the land fill

 wind last night and quite a lot of rain. the dogs have no issues getting wet though.

 thankfully, they also have no issues chilling in the house.
