i'm ready to head to bed. i did get my library up. pretty excited. a different neighbor stopped by...those guys are always keeping watch and interested in what is happening. guess this one is getting ready to retire, sell everything and move to central America i think he said. very fun for them. he said his wife will no doubt be adding books over the next year
this is still my favorite panel. thought it came out sweet. i like the puffins on the front of the post too.
we shall see how it survives the winter and what happens with it. one neighbor boy stopped by on his bike as i was painting and asked a million questions..that is kids. hopefully the thing doesn't get trashed or vandalized and hopefully, books start to come and go. each library has a life of it's own i guess. right now i just tossed the kids books that came with the library.
went back out and painted paws on another side of the post and hearts on the other side. not sure what/if i'll put on the back. short post tonight as i am ready to head to bed soon. walked at conners bog with a friend who was in from Girdwood and her car was in shop. kept her from getting too bored. pups had a good time. we rarely go there, but it was closer to the car place. also it was a bit windy today and the moose are already a bit nuts due to the rut.
thankful for: A. my dear friend Lena who answered my texts and helped me get the actual library mounted...it was harder than expected. i thought the post would be the tough part. screws broke in half. i took a break in frustration before she got there and painted the puffins. B. a little adventure beginning with a little library. C. reading. it's always been a wonderful gift. i've learned and discovered so much through reading.
