quick post on the fly!!

headed out for a walk in a few minutes. these are from this past week. have enjoyed the cold temperatures this week . it seems we may warm up above zero for the first time this year. :-)

Tusker steals my spot in the bed often when i get out for a minute. he knows where the comfort is and feels deserving of the best. he is of course.

headed to Ocean view again today. this is where these were taken

perhaps we will make some more snow cairns. they are pretty cool. the dogs like to knock them down as i make them though.

i grew a bit frosty this day. today my hair is braided so less frost action no doubt

it looks like our temps will be closer to zero though.

plan to stop by AK bark and see if they have gotten more booties in. Tusker is doing well. i give him a few minutes twice daily to get a good lick in on that toe. the nail is starting to grow around the quick so hopefully soon it will be healed and i won't have to worry.

so both dogs are healing up.

the frost around town has been so beautiful. some of these are from a between shift walk in the bog by the house.

yesterday after working my stretch of three i slept in until nearly 3pm. i woke to Ivy's cold nose on my face...checking on me and wanting to get out walking. we were late but did manage a nice walk in the dog park.

no pictures of yesterday. chilly out and starting to get dark.

my work week was PICU, PICU and then PCU. steady but not insane.

always fun to work picu with my friends, new and old. just a great group of folks up there.

will need to get packed up for our little overnight to Manitoba yurt. we did it last winter and had a blast so back we go tomorrow night.

debating seeing if that little place has an opening for a few nights out in Seward for afterwards. could be fun. the tides look decent as well.

ice crystals in the light cause these pillars of light to form. this were seen from my room this morning. of course, they weren't very well captured on the iphone but i think you get the idea

the world keeps spinning around.

Australia is on fire still. so sad such a huge loss of wildlife and possible some species completely wiped out. we shall see.

earthquakes in Puerto Rico i think. as if they haven't had enough to deal with of late.

a passenger jet was shot down in that whole mess with Iran. Iran has now admitted it was accidently shot down. so aggravating....we are at least partially responsible as our idiot potus and his blood thirsty crew started us down this path. pulling out of the Iran agreement with no plan. assassinating the Iran general with no plan...having no plan is their way. they use power instead of diplomacy. they are seemingly incapable of diplomacy. they could have built on what was in place in Iran.

they are so sure of all the bull that is fed to them. the money they claim was given to Iran by Obama, was Irans money. held up and won back in a court case. each day we did not pay it back we, as tax payers were losing more money. the Obama administration also had used it to bargain for a much lower pay out, costing us much less than the court had ordered paid.

the fools on fox and other right media spin and spit out bull and they eat it up.

as they scream about wasting money investigating this current iitoo, they continue to waste money chasing conspiracy theories about Hillary Clinton. yet another one came to nothing. it doesn't stop them at all. they continue to believe all the bull despite their own investigations leading them nowhere.

it appears that there really wasn't any real immediate threat. the current administration is dodging and weaving in their usual fashion. they had no real information for the gang of 8 or for sharing with the officials. they purposely left anyone out in their actions/plans. it even ticked off a few of their own.

one fool Republican was on fox saying that Democrats love terrorists...so irresponsible and untrue...absolute bull...Duckworth came out saying she left body parts in Iraq fighting terrorists. he has made attempts to walk back his bull rhetoric, doubt it played much on fox though. those folks seem to eat up that stuff.
