the only surprise is always how his followers keep making excuses for him....

 

and i really have no idea why it keep surprising me...do i have some sort of unlimited supply of hope that keeps me believing that people who are rational will spring forth from those who seem to have been swept into the rabbit hole of conspiracies?  today i woke up oddly at the most perfect time to see this sunrise....i only stayed up long enough to snap a few photos and i was back to sleep.

nature does have a way of giving us hope.  i guess it is what drives me back out there over and over again.  the sun does rise and the steady things of nature just keep happening.  it feels safe even though in reality nature can be very harsh. we are okay expecting the unexpected in nature.  we have a deal with nature...most of the time nature awes us with the beauty and peace and the wonder of it all.  on occasion though nature will remind us that nature is and always will be in charge.  

we live on one planet, in one solar system in a universe so vast it's impossible to comprehend really.  

going out there is how we remind ourselves that we are small and our troubles are small and certainly this fool with just a few days left in power will just be a blip eventually. 

he held a rally the other day outside the white house and in that he encouraged his most loyal cult followers to walk to the capital building and convince the republicans and especially pence to overturn the election. he kept saying he would go with them...he lied of course, he always lies.  there is no way he would dare put himself at risk or in harms way.  bone spurs made sure he was safely tucked away at a watch party with his family and friends...they partied while his crazy hoard of fools descended and terrorized those who were working on the business of our election.  

one protestor was shot. i just saw that another was trampled...i think she was wearing a don't tread on me shirt...if that is true that is quite ironic.  the worst was that an officer was bludgeoned to death with a fire extinguisher. 

this event and the "take over" idea has been all over the crazy right social media sites for weeks and weeks and yet, for some reason it was just a regular day for security at the capitol building.  no extra crew called in. no plan for potential issues, no federal or state back up's.  i believe this was done on purpose to make it easier for his misguided thugs to enter and do what ever mayhem they wanted.  there was no concern by those in charge...no doubt with the blessing of trump and company...about the potential of what could happen. when help was begged for it took hours.  Trump is supposed to be the one to order the federal response but he basically refused/abdicated...who knows. in the end Pence did it.  by then the senate/house and staff had been able to get to places of relative safety...the security who did not look the other way as the hoard passed by or take selfies with them, went to heroic lengths to delay the mob as best they could while the members escaped.  

i heard that Moscow Mitch was in a room with Pelosi and Schumer..not sure who else was in that exact location..but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th in line were all together while trump sat in his little safe zone watching it all unfold with glee.  one has to wonder what things were discussed in that small room amongst those folks. 

of course, pretty much immediately after the conspiracy crack addicts were back at it.  no way anyone from the right could possibly have done this...it must be antifa and BLM.  total lies, totally bull. that is the GOP of the day functions.  they are always right, never wrong and they blame everyone else for everything.  if you are in the GOP and dare speak out or speak up, you are demonized.  called a never trumper, accused of being part of the deep state or now called a RINO....( Republican in name only) 

i was in ICU all week again.  i slept through much of it...i woke to tons of texts and messages. 

so work wasn't bad at all really.  no big drama's.  steady...well wait...there was that uterine balloon....that was interesting. 

i want the iitoo out as soon as possible.  i doubt trumps ego will allow him to resign.  he did come out and say he will allow for the transition to occur...even though he believes he was wronged...he says he won't come to the inauguration...do they have something planned for this as well?  will he stay safely at home watching it on tv?  

the gop was shaken and many have indeed spoken out against trump and what his role in this was, but there are still many who continue to support trumps lies of a rigged election.  that he actually won the vote.  

after many hours,when the capitol had been cleared and the bombs...yes a few pipe bombs were found...the house and senate returned and stayed into the night to finish what they had been doing before the riotous fools entered. Biden will be sworn in on the 20th. 

some had opted to not contest the electoral vote count but there were still those who did.  the GOP seems pretty fractured at this time....no idea what happens going forward.  cowards.  many abandoning a sinking ship but still refusing to take out the captain completely.  

the mob was mad at Pence for not going against the constitution and trumps demands and just overturning the election in favor of trump....pence had sent him a letter saying it was his job to follow the constitution and that is what he would do...really his only act in all these years where he stood up to trump and he was immediately eviscerated for it.  the mob was yelling things like hang pence.  they had rope and zip ties....what did they really intend to do?

and yet, Pence seems to have fallen back into his cowardly ways....they should be taking trump out using the 25th amendment or convincing trump to resign...not sure they will do either.  some of his cabinet members are resigning rather than risk being asked to do this...something they no doubt all know should have happened ages ago.  they all arrogantly believed they could control trump i suspect...they couldn't.  even worse they walked away and stayed mostly silent instead of speaking out and speaking the truth. unless it benefitted them...book sales and all. now they are speaking out.

in the meantime....he still appears to have access to the nuclear codes and pardon power.  this is unacceptable.  he is responsible for getting these angry fools riled up and then sending them to do his bidding.  he sat back and had his ego filled that all these humans would do exactly what he asked...what a high for him.  

saw this rock the other day at the dog park. i see and enjoy these rocks all over.  the other day i got on a rock group..they actually have those.  apparently you can pick up and keep these rocks, re-hide them, leave them.  hide your own.  i can think of a few i would have loved to have snagged.  i generally just take a photo....most of them i would leave but there are a few that are true works of art...there are apparently rock trees scattered around town where exchanges happen on a larger scale...i just had no idea

the hoar frost was from the dog park last week.  a bit warmer this week. 

i dared ask a relative that i rarely speak politics with because it seems obvious our views are different...i asked who won the election.  that was last week. i was told that they weren't going to take the bait on that...of course, any other election that would never be seen as bait. it would be a very simple question with a simple answer. i wonder how that relative would answer that same question this week.  the lack of an answer was answer enough sadly.

i think the worst part of this is knowing how many of my relatives and friends have bought into the conspiracy crack and lies being fed to them. they, of course, believe i am the one being fed lies.  

will we spend the rest of our lives not being able to respond to even the most basic conversations. 

we were all taught in this nation to avoid speaking politics and religion.  that was a huge error.  it just made sure that we never learned to speak to those who believe differently out of fear of confrontation.  we should have been teaching how to speak civiling about different opinions.  you have to discuss the differences....it's only made us more divided as people only speak to those who think just like  they do. 

i have tended to like to have conversations that go beyond how is the weather.  as a matter of fact, i'm terrible at small talk.  

a co-worker last night was deep into a very thick book.  i asked about it as i passed by. i think he was slightly anxious to show me...it was a book about atheism.  

we all have to find our own truths and as long as those beliefs do not infringe upon the rights of others live and let live really. 

Ivy has continued to be mostly in hiding.  coming out briefly.  this morning i noted that her right leg looks like it might possibly be not quite right. trying to check it out but she dashes right back under the bed. 

i had figured she was just in hiding after the fireworks last week, along with two hyper and barking dogs no doubt.  now i wonder if she didn't get stomped on accidently by one or both of those dogs.

last week it was cold..Tuskers coat is coated in frost.

these poor saps who "stormed the capitol" were stupid enough to take loads of photos...unmasked as usual for trump supporters.  they posted themselves all over social media. hopefully all of this and the reporters photos/video will help us capture these fools and prosecute them.  hopefully also trump doesn't do some last minute pardon of all of them before he goes. 

there is talk of starting impeachment proceedings...of course, McConnel will hold off on his part until the day of the inauguration...blocking progress to the end.  now the Senate has two new Democrat Senators from Georgia!! it was close but that news happened on the same day of the "revolution".  i'm still laughing at this stupid girl who gave out her name and city for the media after she stormed the capitol and was maced as she stepped inside. the reporter asked her why she wanted to go in, "we were storming the capitol, it's a revolution".  

most of them weren't dressed as revolutionaries they were dressed as mago fools. covered in maga wear and racist t-shirts.  some even wore their badges. there was a newly sworn in state representative who is now is being met with demands to resign. many, whose names have gotten out, have been fired from jobs.  

as i said, the conspiracy theorists said they were all really just radical left dressed in maga gear to make trump look bad.  their maskless photos and crazy maga social media posts are making that story fall apart pretty quickly...not that they will believe truth anyway. 

Twitter has totally suspended trump and other social media have as well. his fools are screaming about freedom of speech...these are private companies that run social media so just remind them that LGBQT folks can't get a cake for a wedding...private companies can do what they want....that was their battle...so sad when it comes back to bite you. kind of like a bill trump passed to take down the "violent BLM" protesters.  higher jail times...that may come back to bit them.  plus now an officer was killed in the midst of all this so if you are there participating in it all you may end up culpable...hell trump instigated it all so he should be held accountable as well.  will he?  will he ever be held accountable for anything he's done...of as usual will the small fools who got sucked into his selfish vortex end up being the ones who do the time for his crimes as well as their own. 

i heard on NPR today that the pfizer vaccine we have been getting is appearing to be effective against the newer strains which have been found in England and South Africa. so that is good news.

horrible story out of India...a hospital fire took the lives of ten babies.  they were only able to rescue 7 babies. how awful.  

the Parler fools are panicking...the crazy Qanon congresswoman requested their information in case parler goes dark...and the fools are busily publicly giving it out.  the FBI is grateful for all the assistance i'm sure. 

in other news Iraq is not a fan of Trump and have issued an arrest warrant for trump for the killing of Soleimani...just hope we never have to go to war because of how he's screwed up international relations...he has made a mess of things for decades to come no doubt...

Bannon has been silent as far as i can tell. this was always his goal, chaos...destroy the US.  trump has always been a tool for them.  in truth they will all move on once he is fully out of power as he will be little use to them. i do hope they do the second impeachment as part of that would mean he could never hold another public office...so he could not run for office again...the last thing we need is another trump run in 2024. 

what will this week bring? perhaps a vet appointment for Miss Breezy.  a second vaccine for me on Monday...we will see if that makes me feel sick or crappy, many others have felt worse with the second shot. 

try to enjoy this weekend at least 

i do already feel much less stressed at work having even the first vaccine on board.  more safe everywhere really.  

omg...i know i laughed out loud.  there is an old guy who always wears his MAGA hat at the dog park....i find it annoying because...really. can't we just have one place where we are all just citizens out enjoying life...must these people force their political insanity on all of us all of the time...but there he was again today wearing his maga hat.  you would think that after what happened on Wednesday at least a few of those signs would quietly disappear.  

not sure that is happening though.  

at least a few more in DC are at least willing to speak more openly.  Murkowski, one of our senators, had the chance to impeach and she failed.  now she is speaking out against him and saying she may leave the GOP over it.  too little too late really. even the arse kissing Graham said it was enough.  they go where they see the money and power though.  they may regret the choices they made the rest of their lives.  i hope they do.  i also suspect there may be an increase in high profile suicides over the next few years.  

thankful for: A. a more safe feeling at work.  B. an amazingly beautiful sunrise this morning that i just happened to awaken for and C. that trump and his most devout followers appear to be too stupid to pull of the revolution...so grateful for that.  as i said, may God have mercy on their souls but may the justice department take them all down for their participation.
