just dogs and waves

fun little photo session with the pups while in Homer.  really just love all the beach scenes.  how could i not.
got the skills fair completed, at least i think i did.  took nearly 4 hours but i didn't get too annoyed.  some days it's just more annoying.  i think because i never really heard about other units specific events so i just figure, if they don't reach out to me...well...
came home and grabbed the dogs.  this time of year it's slush and mud where ever you go so we just hit the dog park again.  they aren't too obsessed with the water like Blossom was.  i wouldn't go near it during certain times.  these two are more into the tennis ball it seems and are easily distracted away from the lake edge.
just watched a movie, "whiskey, tango, foxtrot" with Tina Fey.  it was good.  not great but good.
 every day is insane.
today Paul Ryan announced that his career as a coward politician will end as a coward by exiting stage left without speaking out or taking action other than to give the rich a tax break and help increase the deficit by a few trillion...his hope was to get rid of medicare and social security.  he won't need it... he was bank rolled by the Koch brothers and other donors.  bought and paid for.  now he's too much of a coward to speak truth to power.
so many are.  it does seem there is some hope for a bipartisan bill to give some protections to Mueller and team as iitoo and his henchmen are murmuring about how they can fire Mueller/Rosenstein...stop the investigation.  nothing screams we are guilty as hell as much as their fear of what will be discovered in this investigation.  he knows all his financial dealings are fraught with fraud and money laundering.  it matters.  it matters a great deal that we have a "leader" who is corrupt and has been corrupt for years.  no agenda is worth the damage that this administration is doing to our nation.
the GOP "leadership" should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to go on.  weak and cowardly is really all there is to it.
Ryan spoke of bringing the power back to the congress and cutting back on executive powers which seem to have grown out of balance...not only did he not do this, he folded like a crepe and bowed down to King T.  still he shows up on TV with that idiotic smirk and arrogance that he always has.  take the money and run.
 it's infuriating.
talk again of bombing in Syria.  laughed as he made a big play of how he wasn't going to warn people before bombing and how stupid that was..then he tweets to Rus to watch out or some such thing.  not sure destroying more of Syria will fix anything.  it seems all these people battling it out over there are all losing but the ones losing the most are those trying to survive day to day over there. everyone has made a mess of that place.
it's a global embarrassment and should stand as a lesson of international failure
wasn't it a week ago our iitoo was talking about removing all our troops from there and totally ditching the Kurds to certain death...diplomacy swings by the minute..he has no plan, he's never had a plan, he has no clue what he is doing, he listens to everyone and no one.  leading by fox news and tweets, it's insanity.
Ivy is totally focused on the ball in these.
wave, what wave...she has more focus than our current iitoo.
for sure in an "emperor has no clothes" situation but nobody is willing to stand up and inform him that he has been fooled.  he's been made to believe that he can run a nation like his business without concern for law and nobody has told him he can't.
have to rely on a favorite quote..."everything will be alright in the end, and if it isn't, it's not yet the end".
still in the moment it can be so disturbing
above Ivy Rose is nearly lost in the wave.
taking a hit...they had such a great time.
mostly Tusker waits on the beach for Ivy to retrieve it.  he is pretty happy to be lazy and let her do the work.
when i throw tennis balls out the back door into the yard, he sits on the deck and waits for me to "throw" it right to him.
i crack up too as i have to open the door to throw the tennis ball, but both dogs insist on going in/out of their dog door, even when the main door is wide open and in front of them.  Tusker will "catch" the tennis ball two feet from me outside the door and turn and come back through the run and dog door.  it cracks me up.  today i was making them sit and give me high 5's before I'd open the door and throw the toy again.
it's like "Bay Watch"...not that i actually watched that show.

beautiful day out there.  today turned pretty as well.
did find out who shoveled my walk.  the biker guy, Ben, i think and the neighborhood watch guy who brought me the music and movies not too long ago.  thanks guys.
the one older guy is a Vietnam Vet.  today he stopped by looking for medical advice.  he wants me to read some info on some eye medicine he got from this woman.  asked him if he's gone to the VA but he didn't seem to believe he was getting what he needed there.  the doctors keep changing.
 life in my neighborhood.
was excited tonight as i was kind of able to get my hair back up on top of my head.  i go back and forth, chop it off again or grow it out.  do like it short but also like the option of putting it on top of my head or braiding it.  short, you have to keep cutting it.  short probably looks cuter though.
in general, nobody is looking anyway.

Tusker gets some time in the water.
he's currently napping behind me.  they were wrestling earlier...so i headed outside with the tennis ball to wear them out. the yard is still in transition.  spring means extra poop pick up...as sections of the yard get free of snow/ice i catch up on the poop.
well, i shall turn in.  rest is news free.

grateful for: A.  indoor plumbing  B. that all things end and begin again C.  cool neighbors, even the odd ones.
