success!!

 Speedy came through with the cool cupcakes yet again!  always a huge hit. 

 I'm blowing off the pre-lecture jitters with a walrus mask selfie.  then...below we wait and see who all turns out.

 we had 39 so we had a nice group.  Ryan did show up and he showed pics and just guided us around the island a bit.  questions were asked and answered. people lingered after to ask more questions.

 the goodie bag give a way was a hit as well. everyone loves to win!!

 not a huge day for the pups today.  we just hit the dog park..it's a slush fest all over town at this time. 

 tomorrow i have got the skills fair for at least a few hours.  will try to get it done as fast as i can and return home, grab them and head out walking.  will need to call and schedule some appointments for stuff before i head to class.

 had a crisis of poop today.  was at the dog park when i got the call.  figured i had time to get home...no place there to poop anyway.  by the time i got home i was really in full on Sandra Bullock mode from that one movie.  no RV's for me though . i was booking into the house, the dogs must have thought i was nuts.  made it but it was touch and go for a minute.  way to build your confidence on game day...nearly shit your pants. 

 angry POTUS this week. his long time lawyer and "fixer"...(sounds so mobby) got raided by the FBI.  he is freaking out.  threatening to fire Mueller and Sessions and Rosenstein.  the GOP make good show of saying how very upset they'd be. I'd feel better if there was a bit more law than, "he better nots". 

 suspect they have some crap on his lawyer.  they would not raid a lawyers office and go through those papers without good cause.  i totally trust the FBI and DOJ leaps and bounds more than i would ever trust this iitoo and the "swamp" dwellers he surrounds himself with.

 still a bit frosty on the beach in the morning. 

 not a lot of sleep last night....the night i slept down in Homer i got little sleep as well.  i believe that was mostly because the pups were beat and were not in any state to move. they were comfortable on the bed and i ended up just curling up around them. last night i was ruminating about this evenings event.

 just texting with KR.  we are thinking of you.  may the angels be with you and your mother these next days.  we are never fully ready for those good bye's in life and it's always tough to have words to ease the pain.  know she is with you as she dances between life and the great beyond.  her love for you holds her here....God be with you all.

 tried to take a short nap this afternoon on the couch...then the pups came in from outside and continued wrestling.  Tusker leapt onto the couch, right on top of me.  enough at sleep attempts. 

 the dogs had a great time playing in the little waves.  getting so brave.

 my favorite clip of the day was Seth Meyers telling the story of his newest sons delivery this weekend.  his wife had the baby in the lobby of their apartment.  the way he tells is was so sweet and funny.  she basically delivered the little guy as she was walking out to catch the UBER to the hospital.

 he said in the space of like a minute phone call to 9-1-1 he said, my wife's having a baby, the baby is coming, the baby is here.

 we did do the live stream.  thank you Speedy and i actually figured out how to share it with the explore.org folks. hope they enjoy it.  should get them excited for the upcoming season. gave Ryan a packet with stickers and pamphlets to give out to visitors on the island.

 i hit the grocery store after as i hadn't eaten much today and my house seems bare.

 they do have fridges on sale.  i also need to take in my cupboard measurements and see what prices there are at home depot or lowes.  see what my options are.  i just have to be a mood to spend that sort of cash before i drop it on the fridge.  they can deliver it to the garage though and then i could use it in the garage as they demolish kitchen.  probably won't be til fall really before i get it together.

 the GOP still hasn't been able to get any evidence of anything related to HRC or Obama...nothing, zip, zilch.  may be time to realize there just wasn't as much to discover as they thought.  it was mostly a smoke screen to create this situation we are in now.  hate, anger and negativity.  a witch hunt is spending years on conspiracies with very little to no actual evidence of any wrong doing.  a witch hunt isn't discovering bank fraud situations and pay outs and lies. 

 this administration is impossible to keep up with.  people come and go with such regularity.  he does seem to have gotten loyalty from those who have even been fired by tweets.  you would think those folks would be pissed off and screaming.   they seem pretty subdued though.  pretty disturbing to know how disrupted the system is.   distressing to realize that our government was  as easy to shake up as it is.  that much of what we took for granted as law was really nothing more than "just the way it's always been done"

 watched a bit of Zuckerberg.  looks intimidating to be in the hot seat.  both the old guys on the left and the right seem to have a poor understanding of the internet, social media. 

 also thought it was funny that zuckerberg was all ok with regulations and working towards creating regulations.  the GOP members on one level are so against regulations that they are currently trying to destroy every regulation created, even if our clean water or air are at stake, even if it means the lands get coated in pollution and chemicals.  protect big business, to hell with regulations...but then they try to threaten him with regulations..and he again, is all he's not against regulations.

 everyone is talking to Mueller.  you can try to cut off an arm but this octopus is far reaching.  reaches to Rus and reaches to Porn stars and reaches to money laundering and shady business dealings.  this administration will turn out to be the most corrupt and least ethical our nation has ever seen. 

 he probably won't fire Mueller despite his anger...he will no doubt take that out by bombing in Syria.  he governs by distraction and for him bombing Syria would be a distraction and his followers would love it.  as he said he could shoot someone in the street in New York and his followers would remain loyal.  he can bomb other nations, start wars and they will also remain loyal.  it's an ugly place we are in right now.  one day i hope to wake up and find the other shoe has dropped on this administration.

 Ivy enjoying the sunshine...i was too.  it did snow a wee bit as i drove home that day.  i think that was near Soldotna.

 we don't often have large waves, but they are still pretty even if they are small.

 always hate to leave this beautiful place.  wouldn't mind living here or Seward.  closer to a more real beach.  life is pretty great in Anchorage overall though. 

 well, i am sleepy.  will turn in.  hopefully i can get my stuff done in a reasonable time frame tomorrow.
